The initials "EK" are said to be those of Elizabeth King, whose family were silk merchants and who owned the house at this time. There's a tableau at the museum depicting her talking to her plumber, John Mitchell. | |||||

Dorset, is almost unique in this country, being the (scant) remains of a wooden
Roman force pump. Photographs are not allowed to be taken, but one exists

Villa, which was occupied between the 2nd and 4th
