cemmaes road  This one's in a garden in Cemmaes Road, nr Machynlleth, Powys, but I can't get close enough to check it out. It seems to be an old pump, but might now only be a garden feature.

Markings: Too far away to check.

Manufacturer: Unk.

cwm llinau  At Cwm Llinau, Powys, this pump seems to be old, but might just be a garden feature. What looks like a bird swinging on the top of the handle is, on closer inspection, a model.

Markings: A "P" within a hexagon.

Manufacturer: Trademark currently used by Puteus, of Germany.

esgairgeiliog  A derelict pump in the village of Esgairgeiliog, nr Machynlleth, Powys.

Markings: Lion.

Manufacturer: Joseph Evans.  

forge  An old pump, in good external condition, re-located as a water feature in a garden in Forge, nr Machynlleth, Powys. It has a hosepipe running up inside to provide a continuous stream of water.

Markings: Flag, and below that is the proclamation "All British Made".


Manufacturer: Lee, Howl.  

fron  Handle-less pump at the crossroads in the hamlet of Fron, near Abermule, Powys.

Markings: Lion, plus "Made in England".

Manufacturer: Joseph Evans.

llanddew This pump is at Bishop Gower's Well, Llanddew, Powys.

Markings: Around the spout: "COPPAGE & SON, BRECON" and in a shield "BAMFORD'S FROST PROTECTED LIFT PUMP". The left hand and right hand panels both carry the words "BRECON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL 1908"
