dorchester Two lead pump tanks in Dorset County Museum, Dorchester.

Markings: The one on the left is embellished with two flowers and is dated 1826. The one on the right carries a very early date of 1691, the initials "TMW", and is decorated with two female figures. The spout emerges from a lion's (dog's?) mouth. Elsewhere it is recorded that this came from Thomas Washington's house in Cerne Abbas (and further that he was George Washington's uncle).
