Corfe Castle (click on photograph to bring up bigger/better version).

	In the market place at Corfe Castle, Dorset, this pump has a simply embossed lead tank featuring flower motifs, and carries the town's coat of arms on its wooden boxing. Markings: None other. Manufacturer: Unk.
	The lead pump in East St is essentially identical to the one in the Market Place, although it has lost its handle and has a different brace on the spout. Click here to see the embossed tank and the civil insignia, based upon the ancient town seal. Markings: None other. Manufacturer: Unk.
	Further along East St., down a little lane, is yet another pump featuring the same design of lead tank - the town must originally have bought a job lot.This pump has a wooden handle, which I suspect is closer to the original design. Markings: None. Manufacturer: Unk.
	This lead pump in West St features a tank embossed with two female figures and a couple of garlands. The counterweight looks as if it's made of lead as well.. Markings: None. Manufacturer: Unk.

Another lead pump, just off West St., near the entrance to the Model Village. Its tank is very similar to the top three, above, but the flower motif is different. It was also rather dilapidated and minus its handle, but by 2019 the cladding had gone and a pitcher pump installed above the lead tank. Thanks to Malc King for the photo on the right. 	This painted wooden panel which was originally on the pump in the square displayed at the local musuem. Thanks to Malc King for the photo. The placard reads:
	Corfe Castle Civil Insignia This panel on the Village water Pump in the Square was painted by Francis Newbury. The 15th Century insignia in the Form of a seal was used by the Mayor And Corporation until 1989 when Corfe Castle lost its town status.
