Ross-on-Wye
This pump, in private hands, is a contractor's pump, and originally intended to be portable. Thanks to Rob Sedman for the photos. It's about 1.6m in height, and its barrel, spout and downpipe are made from riveted sections, the handle fulcrum being bolted on. There's a plaque on the side of the pump, inscribed as follows: | |
SMITH
& WATSON LTD [Hedgehog Logo] IRONMONGERY STORES ROSS |

Markings: None other. Manufacturer: Possibly Smith & Watson, of Ross-on-Wye, or were they just the suppliers? |
