a private house in Prestbury, Glos - and it works, with a bit of
coaxing.

lift and force pump in the author's possession, originally
installed on a wooden post outside a house in Bradford St., Braintree, Essex,
where it delivered water from a well. Spout/poss air vessel/delivery pipe
lost.
Markings: "Warners Patent London", on
handle.
Manufacturer: Warners.
Prestbury, Glos. A tiny
pump in the author's possession, the photos on the right being taken before it
was restored and mounted on the wooden barrel.
Markings: Lion, "RD NO. 46465" on the spout, and "0" on the
barrel.
Manufacturer: It's a Joseph Evans Colonial, Size 0 - the
smallest they made - equating to a 2" barrel.
