In the grounds of a private house in Savernake, near Marlborough, Wilts, this subterranean pump is unusually supported by a cast iron frame. The handle is pivoted at the top of the frame, and there's no sign of a spout, or where the delivery pipe might have emerged. Markings: The cast iron cover in front of the pump includes the words "ENGINEER PEWSEY". Manufacturer: Unk.
