An
unusual design flywheel pump at Hadstock, Essex, similar to those found at
Clavering and Elmdon, Essex, and West Wratting, Cambs. Thanks to Bob Taylor for
the updated photo on the left, which shows more of the pump now that the rotten
wooden cladding has been removed (see right). A
slightly better view of the chain and weights system. Markings: A panel, now apparently lost, carried the wording: "MAKERS CHAS LACK & SONS LTD ENGINEERS COTTENHAM CAMBS." (See image on far right) Manufacturer: Charles Lack of Cottenham. |
