An odd set-up at Bishop Burton, E. Yorks. Photos supplied by Paul Snelling - thanks, Paul. It looks like the pump extracted water from the pond (downpipe is missing) which emerged from the spout, travelled along the wooden trough, which extended over the verge, and out at the other end. Subsequently, Marcus Simms has sent in a photograph of what the pump used to look like when it was in use - thanks Marcus. Markings: None. Manufacturer: Unk.
